How Cisco Can Help Partners With Business Transformation Challenges

If you’ve met Edison Peres, SVP, worldwide channels or heard him address the audience at Cisco Partner Summit before, you know he’s all about partner evolution — specifically, how Cisco can help partners grapple with a unique period of technology and business model changes in the IT industry, and transform their businesses to meet those changes.

The WWLPC attends Cisco Connect in South Africa

Boost Your Vision Through Cisco Connect

Cisco Connect events offer access to best-in-class technical education content, networking opportunities, Cisco and partner expertise, and insight from Cisco leadership and other industry thought leaders.

The Cisco Connect Expo in South Africa was held on March 3rd and was a great, customer-facing event where the WWLPC demonstrated our partner and ecosystem enablement through the development, provision and acquisition of Cisco skills.  Our offset investment programs, Net Academy, Community Knowledge Centers and Worldwide Learning Partner Channel collaborated to present a Cisco learning and development portfolio during the Expo.  The initiative, was supported by, Cisco South Africa’s management and the South Africa National Industrial Participation Program (NIPP).  In attendance were approximately 1000 customers and partners, 6 learning partners and a high number of sponsors.

The WWLPC booth attracted customers, partners and Cisco managers including a high interaction around the positioning of the value of Cisco learning.  Cisco Learning Partners, Fast Lane, Global Knowledge and Torque IT had their own booths, sponsored the event and visited our WWLPC booth.
Carlos Marques, Cisco sub Saharan Africa General Manager, stopped by the WWLPC booth where he received a tour with Cisco’s Amal Khella, Learning Partner Channel Manager - EMEAR to visit the WWLPC learning partners’ booths in the expo.  Along the tour, were great conversations on the effort to strengthen Cisco Learning in Africa. “ Learning partners were delighted with his visit”.

NIL collaborated with Cisco South Africa CTO, Leon Wright, to launch the CCIE Club in South Africa.  In the future, this initiative will extend across Africa. The concept of the CCIE Club is to create a closed community for CCIEs to have their own discussions, events and technology updates which keeps them very close to Cisco and close to each other. Cisco is sponsoring the initiative, paying for the first year CCIE Club membership on behalf of the CCIEs.  CLN is used as a platform for their communications and discussions while NIL manages all the activities, creating periodical newsletters, creating gathering events and updates. This collaboration supports Cisco’s strategy to increase CCIE numbers in various countries and their encouragement to maintain their CCIE status. H Howard Charney, Senior Vice President, Office of the President Cisco was also the guest speaker at the CCIE Club launch.
